MikaMika Goldstein, Girls Developmental Coach and Girls team coach

 

 

 

 

JoshuaJoshua Griffin: Boys Team, Developmental Boys

Josh started gymnastics in 2003 here at Arizona Olympian Gymnastics and progressed to the team level. He competed for 4 years, during which he received many individual titles, was a regional qualifier, and helped his team earn a state championship title! Josh began working for AZOG in the summer of 2008. He enjoys teaching fundamental gymnastics to the beginner students of our developmental levels up through the more advanced skills to our level 4 & 5 team boys. “Working with the kids I coach is a fun and personally rewarding experience”. Josh’s future goal is to become an international airline pilot. After last year’s trip to Italy, he can find nothing more interesting than travel!

DaniellaDaniella Heim, Girls Recreational Coach

Before Daniella started coaching for AZOG 2 years ago, she participated in gymnastics for 8 years at different gyms across the valley.  She was also involved in cheerleading and track and field.  In the spring of 2008, Daniella graduated for Basha High School and is now attending college with aspirations of becoming a nurse.

PeterPeter Hullner: Men’s Optional Team

Coach has been with AZOG off and on since the late 1980’s. He mainly coaches our men’s optional team. He has a Master’s of Science Degree in Coaching of Gymnastics and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education as well as in Geography. Continued education includes a Physical Education teaching certificate and Alternative Rehabilitation. Coach is also the author of an internationally university-used textbook, “Development of the Conditioning Factors in Elite Gymnastics”.

VeraVera Hullner: Pre-School

Vera joined our AZOG staff in January 2010 teaching the boys and girls in our pre-school program. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education. Vera’s diverse teaching and coaching experience includes gymnastics, handball, physical education, and aerobics.



AutumAutum Hunt, Pre-School Developmental Girls

Autum has known Lyle and Karleen for over 20 years.  She has coached with AZOG on and off since the early 90's. Her gymnastics history includes competing for club gymnastics as well as in High School.  She has also taught music, diving and other children's programs for years.  She has a Masters degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy.  Currently, Autum is also teaching piano classes at CGCC and some aerobics at Lifetime Fitness.   She likes to be with friends and her 4 crazy kids!  She likes water skiing  and "real" ice cream is a favorite treat!  She's excited to be on the staff here at AZOG and work with such great kids and staff!

NolanNolan Knuckles: Boys Team, Developmental Boys

Nolan has been involved with the sport of gymnastics for 11 plus years. He started at the age of 7 and trained and competed until jr. high school when his focus shifted to other sports like soccer, football, etc. After a long break, Nolan realized he had a passion for gymnastics and began coaching over 3 years ago. During that time, he trained boy’s team levels 4-6 and oversaw the boy’s levels 1-3 recreational program. Nolan started working for AZOG in late September of 2009 and has become an integral member of our competitive boy’s program. He has been educated and trained under some very elite and Olympic level coaches within the sport. His knowledge of gymnastics continues to grow through attending clinics and studying literature. Nolan’s hobbies include surfing, snowboarding, music, creative arts, and various outdoor activities.

Sean Morgan, Boys Team, Developmental Boys, Tumbling

Sean was a successful member of our competitive boy’s team for several years. In 2003, he became even more involved with AZOG as a seasonal staff member. Then in 2005, Sean joined our permanent staff! He has instructed classes in all of our gymnastic levels, beginning through advanced, as well as our tumbling program. He mainly coaches with our boy’s team levels 4 & 5. Sean is currently attending ASU and plans to become a physical therapist.
